For those of you who are new to the world of big data analytics, Power BI is a Microsoft service used to provide visualizations that interact with “self-service business intelligence capabilities.”
This allows end users to create dashboards and reports for themselves rather than having to get assistance from an administrator.
One thing you can use the slicer tool for (which allows you to filter Power BI reports) is to create a drop-down list.
Remember, since slicing is both intuitive and visual, it will affect the entire screen you see. You can find a tutorial (complete with on screen image examples) here.
If this tutorial did not work for you (for example, you don’t have the option to convert your slicers), check to make sure that you’ve downloaded the November 2016 update.
Next, under visual settings, check that the “Header” option is turned on. This should solve your issue.
