Although companies continue to flock to the cloud, IT managers who are often relied upon to keep computers in order are falling behind in adapting to the practice.
ScienceLogic recently conducted a survey of over a thousand IT managers, and less than one third of those surveyed said they have the control or the visibility to manage everything needed in the cloud.
But is this a bad thing?
Cloud solutions are increasing at a pace that experts never predicted. According to enterprise administrators, this rapid pace could turn into a bad situation. In fact, some suggest that such rapid growth without IT support could create security risks as well as unnecessary costs for companies.
The effects of rapid cloud growth aren’t all negative though.
With this much growth and technological access, organizations—even at the basic level—are experiencing more opportunities for innovation.
Cloud growth doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon, so we should expect technology innovations to continue as well.
