In case you haven’t heard, Salesforce recently released a monumental update to its platform. This update brings many important changes to their system that users will doubtless enjoy, making Salesforce will now be more powerful than ever.
Last year’s Winter update to Salesforce made users value the Lighting Experience more than ever before. Yet it scared some of them.
It was hard to adjust to a new experience for some of us.
Fortunately, the newest update is the definitive edition to the Lightning Experience. It should make the software easier for everyone to use. There are several important improvements to the general functionality.
All in all, there’s a total of 300 improved or new features integrated into this latest Lightning update. Some of the most exciting new features include:
Artificial Intelligence
For starters, the platform will now use the power of AI to make things easier for you. This AI is called the Salesforce Einstein module. It will make the world’s most popular CRM even smarter with machine learning, deep learning, predictive analytics and natural language processing. This AI will improve the Customer Success Platform.
The feature known as Predictive Lead Scoring for Sales shows you which customers have the most engagement and are most likely to buy. Predictive Scoring for Marketing is another feature that can automatically capture the data of the customer. This will let you discover the next steps and connections that are closest for Salesforce Inbox.
If you’re smart with every customer interaction, you’ll have more success and Salesforce Einstein makes this easier than ever before.
Automated Processes
You may now build a process that can be used by another process. This will let you organize your processes better. Processes can be created that are triggered by unique events, or they can be used as the criteria within other processes. As an example, you may create a process that is created when a lead is created.
Furthermore, you can put in multiple trees of criteria that analyze the type of lead that was put into your system then start different campaign based processes based on that result.
Custom Record Pages
If you activate the custom record page in the App Builder, there are now two options available to you. On one hand, you can make the record page default for each user. On the other hand, you can assign the record page to multiple apps. This will give your users access to a customized page for the app if they’re working in it.
This is a huge victory for administrators. Custom record pages can be defined for different types of users. This lets them see something unique depending on which type of app they are using.
Inline Editing & Mass Actions
Many users requested the ability to do inline editing when in list view. This is now a part of the Lightning Experience. You may now edit records and do saving without needing to leave the list view screen.
You also don’t need to open the record. From the list style view, it’s now possible to add campaign members. You can even make changes to membership on more than one record at the same time.
Picklists
Picklists can be an administrator’s best friend. Picklists make it easy to create methods for inputting data and managing the quality of incoming data. Functionality has increased for both options and the ease of doing administrative tasks on them has increased too.
Global picklists are now available in all versions of Salesforce. You can make a global value set for picklist values and use them in new picklist fields. This can be done on both standard and multiple custom objects. So much time can now be saved by duplicating the picklist field on multiple objects since you no longer have to go to different places in setup.
Other features have been created for picklists such as a shared value setting and controlling picklists for local picklist.
With these new additions, Salesforce software is now more powerful than ever!
